2. Audio files and transcripts
The files you choose are read and transcribed only in your browser, on your device. They are not sent to any server and we do not keep them. The text stays on the page until you close it or copy/download it yourself.
3. Hosting and technical data
The site is hosted by IONOS SE (Germany). Like any web server, IONOS’s servers log some technical data about requests (IP address, date and time, requested page, browser type) for security and operational reasons. The legal basis is legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Logs are kept for a limited period according to the provider’s rules.
4. Speech recognition model
On the first transcription your browser downloads the Whisper model from the servers of Hugging Face, Inc. (United States). As with any download, Hugging Face receives your IP address and the technical details of the request; it does not receive your recordings or transcripts. See the Hugging Face privacy policy.
5. Browser storage and cookies
The site does not use cookies, analytics or advertising tools. It only stores your preferences in your browser (site language, audio language, quality) together with the downloaded model, so it starts faster next time. This data is not sent to anyone and you can delete it in your browser settings.
6. Donations
Donations are made on PayPal, which processes payment data as an independent controller (PayPal privacy policy). From PayPal we receive the donor’s name, email and amount, which we use only for accounting and to say thank you, and keep for the period required by law.
7. Your rights
You can request access, rectification, erasure, restriction or portability of your data, or object to processing, at any time by writing to giuseppe.cuccurullo@gmail.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority, such as the Italian Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.

This policy may be updated; the date at the top shows the latest version.
